What is personal brand photography?

As a business owner, business leader, entrepreneur, artist, freelancer - you are your brand.

Your logo, website, social media, blog, marketing materials, and other mediums all help to establish and maintain your personal brandthe story you tell. Your personal brand conveys who you are and what you do to the world (including future customers).

Photography is the most efficient way to communicate with your audience.

With so much information readily available at our fingertips, it's easy to pass by content that doesn't immediately catch our eye or engage us—no matter how relevant it is. Photography has the power to help tell your story, establish trust in both you and your work, separate you from the crowd, and connect you with your community.

Your personal brand photography should cover subject matter that's relevant to you and your work. Your photos could be focused on you—with a headshot, photos of you working with clients, and/or portraits of you in your work environment. You could highlight the products you make, services you offer, and events you take part in. You can also show a glimpse into your personal life, or illustrate some of your values with documentary style photos. For example, if your personal brand has an outdoor focus, photography of you on a hike or volunteering planting trees.

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is meeting a wide variety of people, all with such unique and amazing stories. Let's tell yours!
